It was full steam ahead for a host of talented Grey Court students who received an impressive collection of “A” grades during the school’s inaugural round of AS results that were announced today.  Eight students gained three or more “A” grades with Constance Fisher, Frances Senn, Lillie Finnie and Head Boy, Chris Howden, all managing a clean sweep of four straight “A” grades.  Chris Howden, claimed to be “delighted with my results as they will provide me with the foundation to apply to study medicine at Manchester university.”  Meanwhile,  Lillie Finnie and Constance Fisher intend to apply to read linguistics and veterinary medicine  at Oxford and Cambridge respectively.

Head teacher, Maggie Bailey, cited the school’s forensic approach to academic study allied with its strong pastoral system, which have proved so successful at GCSE, as the foundation of these students’ successes.  “We will leave no stone unturned in order to make sure that we push forward and secure outstanding A2 results for our inaugural batch of Sixth Form students” were her uplifting words as she congratulated the happy scholars outside of Grey Court’s state-of-the-art sixth form centre.

Enrolment for the school’s 2015-2016 cohort will take place on the mornings of Thursday 20th and Friday 21st of August whilst the next Sixth Form open evening for prospective students is on Monday November 9th 2015.
