Ofsted Report June 2007

Ofsted monitoring visit 16 July 2008

Our School, Aims and Values
Our site provides an ideal environment for students with a range of specialist teaching facilities. ICT provision includes specialist suites, zoned wireless provision across the school and extensive use of interactive whiteboards.
Newman House, our listed 18th century building, provides a wonderful space for personalised and small group programmes. The sports hall and gym facilities are complemented by extensive grounds and courts, enabling students to engage in a wide range of physical education and sporting activities.
Our core aim is to attain excellence through achievement, innovation, inclusion and accountability. These are reflected in the following values for...

Our students

Every student will be treated as an individual and will be encouraged to develop as a confident independent learner. S/he will explore her/his personal learning style and experience success. Students’ potential will be stretched through high challenge/low stress learning.

Our community

All students and members of staff will contribute to a thriving and caring community within and beyond the school. Accountability to each other is important and all are expected to participate. Our diversity makes us interesting: we commit to developing students’ potential as healthy, well-balanced citizens who respect one another.

Our parents

We encourage partnership between home and school to ensure that every student feels supported both academically and in their passage into adulthood. We value the contribution that parents and carers make to the life of the school and welcome opportunities to develop this further.

The wider world

In this rapidly changing world, we aim to equip our students with the skills necessary to adapt and develop as individuals: social, flexible, creative and co-operative. Our specialist status gives our students an additional advantage in an increasingly technological society. At Grey Court School we maximise opportunities that are on offer to students and the community as a whole.
