The school is situated close to Richmond Park and on the border with
the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.Road connections are either
from Richmond or Kingston via the A307 shown as Petersham Road on the above
map. Bus connections from Richmond
or Kingston are on either the 65 or 371 bus routes. Richmond has both
mainline and underground train services and buses to the school stop
outside the station.
There are published safe cycle routes to the school and copies of
these can be obtained from the London Borough of Richmond.

Getting to Grey Court School by road
From Richmond
- On the Richmond town centre one-way system follow the signs
for Kingston Upon Thames (A307).
- Exit the one-way system at Hill Street and proceed towards
Richmond Bridge.
- At the mini-roundabout at the end of Richmond Bridge
go straight ahead on to Petersham Road (A307).
- Follow Petersham Road alongside the River Thames until you
reach at set of traffic lights at the bottom of Star and
Garter Hill. (This
is a T-junction.)
- Turn right at traffic lights and follow Petersham Road
through the tight bends in Petersham village.
- When the
road straightens and widens you are looking for Sandy Lane immediately
on your right. (It is sign-posted
to Ham House).
- Turn right into Sandy Lane.
- Go to the bottom of Sandy Lane to the
T-junction with Ham Street.
- Turn left. Grey Court School is 100m
on your left.
From Kingston
- On the Kingston town centre one-way system follow the signs
for Richmond Upon Thames (A307).
- Exit the one-way system by Kingston train
station (Kingsgate
Road/Richmond Road).
- Proceed up Richmond Road (A307).
- Go straight ahead at the traffic lights
at Kings Road and continue on the Richmond Road for approximately 1.5 km.
(You should pass
Fernhill School and Tiffin Girls' School on your right).
- You will reach a set of traffic lights on Richmond Road at the junction
of Dukes Avenue (left) and Tudor Drive
(right).
- Go straight ahead past the parade of shops
(Ham Parade). As you leave the shops Ham Common will appear on your
left.
- Turn left into Ham Common which runs along
the edge of the common.
- At the end of Ham Common you will come to a crossroads
with Lock Road.
- Go straight ahead into Ham
Street.
- Proceed for approximately 300m. Grey Court
School is on your right.
