Application and prospectus

The sixth form has a published admission number (PAN) of 190 for year 12. Places for our sixth form are allocated to existing year 11 Grey Court students in the first instance. Remaining places are then offered to external applicants, who make up approximately 30% of the year 12 intake. If we are over- subscribed we allocate places based on distance to Grey Court from the home address. These distances are automatically calculated by Applicaa, the independent admissions system used for sixth form applications.

Allocating a place for an external applicant may also depend on subject choices. If a subject is full we will offer places to applicants who have chosen to study subjects in which we have spaces.     

We know that applying for sixth form can be a daunting task and we aim to guide you through the process to make it as easy as possible. How to apply

If you would like to join our sixth form in September 2026, you will be able to apply between 19 September 2025 and 4 January 2026. Details of the online application process will be posted here nearer the time.

If you would like to discover more about life in our sixth form, meet the teachers and explore some of the courses you may be interested in studying, please come along to the open-evening on 6 November 2025. Details of the booking process will be posted here in October 2025.
