Overview

Physical education is a key priority at Grey Court. We want our students to lead healthy lives and to understand the role of fitness and exercise within that. We encourage our students towards high sporting achievement while also instilling a love of recreational sport that students can carry throughout their lives.

Facilities

We are extremely fortunate to have excellent sporting facilities within the school. We have basketball, badminton, tennis and volleyball courts, cricket nets, a 300m grass running track, a strength and conditioning suite and large playing fields for training and competitive fixtures.

Key Stage 3

Students are introduced to a range of sports and fitness education. They are encouraged to try new skills and begin competing in inter-house competitions.

Key Stage 4

All students continue with some level of physical education throughout years 10 and 11. For those who continue with PE as a non examined, core subject, there are options for recreational sports such as boxing, golf and swimming, as well as the more traditional sports of football, basketball, rugby and netball.
