Subjects

We offer a comprehensive range of A level and level 3 BTEC subjects, plus diplomas and advanced national certificates. Full information about these, and the entry criteria, may be found below.

Entry criteria

A levels

Students need a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9-5 including maths and English, alongside subject specific requirements (see individual subjects below), to study an A level.

BTECS and other qualifications

Students need a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9-4 including maths and English, to study BTEC level 3/other qualifications.

Extended project qualification (EPQ)

We also offer the extended project qualification (EPQ) which is a freestanding AS qualification and is worth up to 28 UCAS points.

The EPQ aims to inspire, enthuse and motivate students as well as prepare them for university and other post-18 routes by developing transferable skills such as planning, project management, academic research, independent study, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving. Students are given the freedom to study a topic in depth and produce a final dissertation, meaning it will stretch and challenge all students.
