Application and prospectus

Each year we welcome a number of external applicants to our sixth form. These students make up approximately 20% of the year 12 intake. Places are allocated to existing year 11 Grey Court students in the first instance. Remaining places are then offered to external applicants. If we are over subscribed we allocate places based on distance to home, using the safest cycling route. Full details about the over subscription criteria may be found by following the link below.

Allocating a place for an external applicant may also depend on subject choices. If a subject is full we will offer places to applicants who have chosen to study subjects in which we have spaces.

We know that applying for sixth form can be a daunting task and we aim to guide you through the process to make it as easy as possible. Whether it's four A levels, a level 3 BTEC and an A level or a different mix with an apprenticeship, we are flexible enough to accommodate your needs and informed enough to help you through the process.

Open evening

We will hold a sixth form open evening on Thursday 10 November 2022, 5.30-7.30pm. You will be able to meet our teachers and find out more about the courses on offer.

The application process

On-time applications to start in September 2023 have now closed but you are very welcome to           submit a late application. Late applicants are considered once all of our on-time applications have been processed. You might be contacted at any time between submitting this form and our enrolment days in August. Please note that places are offered if we have spaces in the individual subjects a student is applying for. We will also be applying our oversubscription criteria of distance to school from the student's home address. If you have any queries about the application process please email our sixth form manager at tmcnicol@greycourt.org.uk using "Sixth form admissions" as your title.
