Educational visits

Activities day

In the autumn term each year we dedicate a full day to whole school activities where each child takes part in a fun and educational trip. These have included visits to St Paul’s Cathedral, to local mosques and temples, to Box Hill and to the Imperial War Museum. Each trip is linked to the school curriculum whilst also developing social skills and encouraging leadership and self esteem.

Activities week

In the summer term we repeat the exercise but this time we spend a week on whole school activities and include activity based residential trips. These encourage students out of their comfort zones and persuade them to try more physically challenging activities such as climbing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

There are opportunities to learn about other cultures through workshops on henna hand painting, Bollywood dance, Kung Fu and Chinese cooking. The aim of all our activities is to stretch and stimulate, provide health benefits and promote excellence.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Grey Court is proud to run the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze and Silver level. The award equips young people with essential skills for life and work. It includes an expedition, volunteering and learning a new skill. Our students gain in confidence, leadership and physical ability during the scheme.
